Panchagarh (The daughter of Himalayas)
Panchagarh, the northernmost district of the Bangladesh. Panchagarh is a district with thousands year of glory and unremembered memories of history and tradition. Due to its geographical location, Panchagarh is called the daughter of the Himalaya. Panchagarh is a district of green land and natural beauty. The highest peak of the Himalayas named Kanchenjunga is clearly visible from the district. Panchagarh is also famous for the production of organic tea. There are countless tea garden available here. And the taste of tea is almost close to the taste of tea of Shylet. Clear river flowing from the slope of hills, a vast amount of tea garden, some historic structures made Panchagarh one of the tourist site of the country. The communication system of the district is comparatively good. But there is a lack of hotels or motels here that's why sometimes tourists face a little bit problems of accommodation while visiting here. As Panchagarh is situated in the foothills of Himalayas, it is a winter prone district. From October to February, it remains cold with heavy fog.
